"BETTER" chosen best A/C

Wow.  Didn't really think I would get it, but I did!  My CD "BETTER" has won a Hawaii Music Award in the Adult Contemporary category! 

I wasn't sure how I'd feel no matter what the results were, because I really don't view music as a competition.  It is art; and eveyone who puts their art out into the world is putting their soul on display.   Thanks to all of you who spent tireless hours casting your daily vote, my CD beat out a lot of other terrific music.  Hats off to the all the nominees, for this award doesn't mean that my music is Better, but only that more people voted for my CD. 

It is, however, a nice little reminder that my hard work and dedication to music can pay off.  I'll be performing at the HMA ceremony on March 15 at Willows restaurant in Honolulu at 7pm.    Open to the public, hope to see some of you there =)

Video for the single, "Waialua Sky"

Nice way to start the new year!  My new video for  the first single "Waialua Sky" is out on all the viral sites, and you can check it out down below.  It'll make its Hawaii television debut on Wednesday Jan. 23 @ 6pm & 10pm on Dis-N-dat TV, Oceanic Cable channel 16!  Please check out that episode as I'll be doing an interview with Kutmaster Spaz to introduce the new video!

Aloha and thanks for visiting. Been striving for years to make good music. I really try to focus my music on Groove and thoughtful lyrics, and I think it pays off. In 2006 I put out a 5-song EP, which got rave reviews AND airplay on KAPA 100.3 FM.  In September of 2007 I released my first full-length solo CD titled “BETTER”, on the record label Red Moon Entertainment. WOOT! The single "Waialua Sky" is on rotation at KAPA, and KWXX on the Big Island, and on KPOA on Maui.

Right now I’m out and about performing solo as well as with THE ROB YAMANOHA BAND, to promote my CD.  I’ll be posting blogs and vlogs regularly here on my website, so if enjoy what I do please keep coming back to stay updated.  This January we’ll start on the next CD which is slated to be released on May 26th, 2008 (Memorial Day)…keep an eye out….

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I have a lot to be thankful for this year. My loving and Ultra-supportive wife, my kids, my family back on O'ahu, the band, the staff and especially YOU, my fans.
